Politics

Parliament sessions began with participation of 108 MPs. Parliament Vice-Speaker Tigran Torosyan suggested to begin the session with agenda discussion. Arshak Sadoyan said Parliament again begins sessions by outrages the bill is brought up for discussion without dispensing it among the MPs.

The Opposition MPs reminded the issue on the president's impeachment had been on the agenda since the last session . But it wasn't entered on the agenda. The MPs interested asked Armen Khachatryan for many times why the bill on the president's impeachment introduced by Ghukas Ulikhanyan was not brought up for discussion . Parliament Speaker answered evasively: "I've reasoned why the issue was not brought up for discussion at the 15-minute-long speech in the last session. I'm not going to repeat the same again" .

Today the MPs didn't occupy the rostrum though promised. Arshak Sadoyan says it's not the time for it. " We have postponed the resolute steps we're going to take till October also taking into account the perspective of dissolving the Parliament ",- he says.

When discussion and voting for agenda began MPs of 16 Opposition parties announced they didn't want to be privy to infringement of the Law-Regulations and wouldn't vote . Then they left Parliament Hall.

"We found it expedient to boycott discussion and voting of issues today. Time will show what to do later" ,- Stepan Zakaryan, the member of the People's Party of Armenia says.

By the way, European Union representatives were watching the session, statements on impeachment and the Opposition's boycott .

No issue discussed was approved today.
