RUMOURS ABOUT RIGHT POWERS WERE EXAGGERATED

Politics

“There are distortions in the political terminology of Armenia” ,- Parliament Vice-Speaker Tigran Torosyan says making comments on establishment of pre-election unions. He says first pro-right and pro-left parties are to be distinguished as ideas on them are perverted adding unions can be set up only on the eve of parliamentary elections .

Ruben Mirzakhanyan, Ramkavar Azatakan Party Chair as well thinks so. Commenting on Paruyr Hayrikyan’s statement made yesterday on joining or the possible union of the right powers he said: “It’s not time to speak about some union 7-8 months before the parliamentary elections ” . As to forming the purpose union (i.e. joining of 16) he considers it “a nonsensical phenomenon, the one not seen or heard in the world” . “A few parties of opposite ideology unite for one aim only – to be against the president. It’s absurdity ” .

Torosyan says on Hayrikyan’s statement that he was not empowered to speak about the possible union, especially with Republican Party as there was no discussion on that. Such discussion either didn’t take place with both Ramkavar Azatakan and Dashnaktsutyun Parties.

Republican Party in the person of Tigran Torosyan says establishment of any right union on the eve of presidential elections is out of the question.

The Union for Self-Determination first declared about the possible union, then saying it wouldn’t become the member of the union if it doesn’t support Robert Kocharyan’s candidature. As to USD, one may say it won’t be in the “possible union” because Ramkavar already declared about its support to Robert Kocharyan. It turns out it’s senseless to speak about the right and left powers now. “It is the expression of Paruyr Hayrikyan’s imagination and dreams” ,- our interlocutors said.
