FLOOD IN ARAGATSOTN REGION OF ARMENIA
Support A1+!Downpour on April 24 caused damages in the Aragatsotn region of Armenia. A part of the earth dam of the Gekhadir reservoir collapsed, crops in the communities of Lusagyugh, Aragats, Gnaberd and Geghadir as well as some dwelling houses were flooded. Drinking water pipe was damaged in the community of Lusagyugh.
The level of River Arpa has risen flooding the fields adjacent to Vayots Dzor.
A governmental commission has been formed for investigating the damage caused. The department or emergency situation does not possess fresh information on the floods and new destructions.
