HOW TO RESIST DELUGES
Support A1+!During the recent 15 years drainage pipes in the Shirak marz (region) of Armenia have not been cleaned. As result lots of inhabited localities suffer from downpours. However no measures have been undertaken so far. Some repair works were conducted in a number of villages in the Artik region only, Tsayg TV company reports.
The communities do not possess enough funds to conduct works of the kind, it is the business of the department for emergency situations, regional administrations, Ministry of Agriculture and the state committee on water industry.
Taking into account the possibility of temperature rise the above mentioned structures are presently examining the outflow pipes. According to the senior specialist of the department of agriculture of the Shirak region Raffi Vardzelyan the water flows can be expected in March and April.
