LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT BODY ELECTIONS WERE HELD IN SHIRAK

The first local self-government body elections were carried out this year in Shirak Province. Two candidates were nominated for the head position of Nahapetavan village. Many of 560 electors didn’t take part in the elections because the young were out of the village, the old men were sick.

After the elections results proclamation it became clear that Misha Sargsyan was voted to by 113 electors and 11 vote-bulletins were codsidered invalid. To the majority of votes Sasha Vardanyan became the head of the local self-government body in the village.
