Vladimir Avetisyan becomes president of Samara Regional Basketball Federation
Vladimir Avetisyan, a prominent Russian businessman and deputy director of the Russian state-owned company "Rosnano", was elected president of the Samara Regional Basketball Federation. The official website of the Ministry of Sport of Samara reports. "We need to create new basketball development centers, open-air playgrounds in the region. It is not so costly. The federation's goal is to develop professional basketball in the region. They require different approaches and solutions," said the newly appointed President. Vladimir Avetisyan was the only candidate for president and was elected unanimously. The Armenian businessman is also famous for his D'Black Blues Orchestra rock band, which he created ten years ago and it also performed in Yerevan in 2017.
