17th Summit of La Francophonie continues in Yerevan. New Secretary General to be elected
The second of the 17th summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie has kicked off in Yerevan. The report of Secretary General Michaelle Jean is expected to be heard. The summit is also set to adopt resolutions and statements. Also, the date and location of the next summit will be announced today. Today, the summit will also elect a Secretary General. The candidates for this position are Incumbent Secretary General Michaelle Jean and Rwanda’s FM Louise Mukishiwabo.
