Armenian-American chess grandmaster Samuel Sevian has won the 10th Washington Chess World Chess Tournament in Fox County, USA.
The 17-year-old chess player scored 6 victories in 9 games, finished with three draws and won the first place with 7.5 points. He was only half a point ahead of American grandmaster Sergey Erenburg, who also did not lose, but ended one game in a draw. The Cuban Grandmaster Carlos Antonio Alhanone finished the top three.
Samuel Sevian was rewarded for $ 4100 for this victory.
