The process of handling weapons must be regulated and transparent, says advocate Yervand Varosyan.
“The list of arms carriers is kept confidential and explained by personal data. It’s baseless, we know that they are gift. If the medals are given, so it means that they should be kept secret as well?”
“The public should know who the government has given weapons,” adds the lawyer.
“The whole process should be transparent, we must know who owns a weapon or who does not have, or whether it is worthy to trust that person.”
“State accountability is a prerequisite,” says Artur Sakunts, head of the Helsinki Citizens Assembly Vanadzor Office.
Armshak Gasparyan, the President of Social Justice NGO, psychologist of criminal justice, believes that weapon gives an illusory self-confidence to a person.
According to him, a person with a gun should submit relevant documents that does not have drug addiction or is in a spiritually balanced state.
