Figure skater Sofia Polischuk attacked in Moscow
The winner of Grand Prix of figure skating Sofia Polishchuk has been attacked in Moscow. As reported by the Russian media, when returning from training, one of athlete's acquaintances approached her, and tried to pick up her mobile phone, so she has resisted. At that moment the angry boy began to hit her face and tried to strangle her. Sofia Polischuk managed to get rid of the attacker and applied to the nearest police station. A forensic examination was performed at the hospital. Fortunately, the athlete did not receive serious injuries. It should be noted that Sofia Polishchuk had previously performed with Alexander Vakhnov as a dance couple. Last season, they won the Australian Grand Prix, and won the 2nd place in Italy.
