Parliament votes for. Penalties for electoral frauds to be toughened (video)

The Armenian Parliament adopted the package of legislative bills on making amendments and changes in the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses, which supposes toughening the penalties for electoral frauds, submitted by the government at the first reading. 66 MPs voted for the bill, and there were not against or abstain votes. Head of Republican Party of Armenia faction Vahram Baghdasaryan urged the Deputy Minister of Justice that the project should be properly analyzed and then only be submitted to the National Assembly. Vahram Baghdasaryan also mentioned that during the first reading the RPA will vote for it. And when the final draft is ready, they will have additional feedback.
