More boys than girls are born in Armenia. Studies, figures and other analysis show that as in the past, today also Armenian families highlight the birth of a boy, often at the expense of girls' lives. In order to prevent these, in 2016, Armenian lawmakers prohibited sexual intercourse interruptions.
