Harutyun Grigoryan declared European champion
The young weightlifter from Armenia Harutyun Grigoryan won the gold medal at the youthful European Weightlifting Championships in Milan. In the competition among weightlifters U 15 in the 77 kg weight class, our athlete was simply out of competition. He lifted 117 kg in an exercise and is 11 kg ahead of two rivals pursuing him. In the push exercise Harutyun Grigoryan was also the best, lifting 141 kg. Here he was only one kilogram ahead of the Hungarian Benjamin Federer. By the result Harutyun Grigoryan confidently won the first place and was declared the champion of Europe. Benjamin Federer, who was behind the leader by 12 kg, took the second place.
