Mnatsakan Abrahamyan is vice-champion of Europe
Weightlifters of Armenia won regular medals at the European Weightlifting Championship among young men, which takes place in Milan, Italy. In the tournament among weightlifters under 15, the 69-kilogram Mnatsakan Abrahamyan with the result of 249 kg of biathlon took the 2nd place and was recognized as the vice-champion of Europe. He also won small silver medals in jerk (108 kg) and push (141 kg) exercises. In this weight category the champion of Europe was proclaimed the Bulgarian Carlos Nasar, who showed the result 260 kg (113 + 147). Today weightlifters of weight category 77 kg will compete. Armenia will be represented by Harutyun Grigoryan, who according to preliminary data is considered the main favorite.
