Decision made to suspend construction of oil refinery
The head of the inspection body of ecology and mineral resources Artur Grigoryan decided to suspend the construction of an oil refinery on July 16. On July 10, 2018, as part of the administrative process initiated by the Inspection Body of the Environment and Resources against Armoil CJSC, it was found out that before starting the construction of an oil refinery in the Nati quarter of the city of Yeghvard in the Kotayk region, Armoil CJSC carried out an assessment and examination of the impact on the environment in the further construction of the plant on the basis of the basic documents stipulated by the RA Law "On Environmental Impact Assessment and Examination". Proceeding from the abovementioned situation, on July 16, he head of the Inspection body of the ecology and mineral resources Artur Grigoryan decided to suspend the construction of the oil refinery to assess the impact on the environment of the basic documents stipulated by the RA Law "On Environmental Impact Assessment and Expertise" and make a positive decision .
