Armen Sargsyan meets with Serj Tankian (video)
President Armen Sargsyan today received a member of the Council of Innovative Cultural Background "Creative Armenia", the famous American rock musician of Armenian origin Serge Tankian and the founding director Karin Hovhannisyan. President Sargsyan highly appreciated the cultural and public activities of Serj Tankian and said: "You are not only a great musician, but also a great Armenian, a worthy and proud Armenian." Karin Hovhannisyan presented the main goals and directions of "Creative Armenia". She said that their mission is not only to develop Armenian culture, but also to become a platform for identifying talented artists, supporting their progress and calling for life of promising projects. Noting that art is the most powerful and strategically paving the easiest way, the members of the fund's council said that "Creative Armenia" pursues the goal of becoming one of the most dynamic and effective cultural initiatives. President Sargsyan welcomed the programmes and ideas of "Creative Armenia" and expressed readiness to promote them, if possible.
