President of Armenian Handball Federation dies

President of the Armenian Handball Federation Sargis Grigoryan died. This is reported by the federation's Facebook page. Sargis Grigoryan was born in on March 16, 1954, in Tbilisi. In 1970, he graduated from Yerevan School N 78, and in 1974, he finished the Department of Economics of Yerevan State University. He was engaged in handball for many years and played in the Armenian national team. He was the multiple champion of Armenia (1974-76) and was recognized as the best goalkeeper in the country. Sargis Grigoryan was the president of the Armenian Handball Federation since 2002. The memorial service will be held on July 4, at 18:00, at St. Sargis Church in Nor Norq 5th Block.
