Death toll rises to 29 in Kabul explosion (video)

At least 29 people were killed in two explosions in Kabul city early Monday morning, local officials confirmed.
In addition, 49 others were wounded. The first explosion happened at about 8am local time in Shashdarak area of Kabul city after a suicide bomber on a motorbike detonated his explosives, Kabul police chief Daoud Amin confirmed. He said the second explosion happened at the scene of the first explosion about 20 minutes later after emergency personnel and journalists arrived in the area. “The second suicide bomber detonated his explosives among the journalists and policemen who were covering the area,” a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI) Najib Danish said, adding that “21 people including three policemen were killed.” In the meantime, officials at the Ministry of Public Health confirmed that "29 people were killed in today's attacks and over 49 other people were wounded. The victims have been taken to Wazir Akbar Khan (hospital) and Emergency Hospital." TOLOnews reporter Gulabuddin Ghubar who was at the scene of the second explosion said: “The second blast happened while journalists and cameramen were busy covering the area.” AFP has confirmed that their chief photographer in Kabul, Shah Marai, was killed in the second blast. The identities of other journalists killed in the explosion have not yet been released. Daesh has claimed responsibility for the two bombings.
