Artsakh pianist wins Grand Prix at international competition-festival

Anahit Arushanyan, a young pianist from Stepanakert, participated in the Spanish annual International Stars at Tenerife (Tenerife Stars) contest-festival, held on Canary Islands, and won the Grand Prix. Anahit Arushanyan, a first year student at the Long Island Conservatory in New York, told a reporter of the Artsakhpress that representatives of 26 countries were participating in the festival. "I have taken part in the festival with the works of Rakhmaninov, Chopin, Beze, and Brahms, and I am very happy that my performances have been highly appreciated," said Arushanyan, adding that besides the Grand Prix, she also received an invitation to participate in two other contest festivals. According to our interviewer, the first will be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, on January 3-7, where the famous Russian pianist Savshinsky International Competition-Festival will take place, and the second - in April, in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany.
