Quality of Yerevan-Sevan road (video)
The reconstruction works have been completed on the 36-57th km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway and on the 64-57th km of Sevan-Yerevan direction. The high quality of the work has been confirmed by the results of laboratory tests and technical evaluations. Vahan Martirosyan, RA Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies, is satisfied with the quality of the work. The renovation was supposed to begin in July, but taking into account the inconvenience caused by the flow of tourists and drivers, the work was launched on August 28. The completion of the contract was scheduled for late November, but as the road builders promised, the asphalting works were completed on October 10, before the deadline. The two-way traffic has been completely restored. In order to finish the road reconstruction quickly, the works were entrusted to three construction companies: "Chanaparh", "Kapavor" and "Suardi.” After finishing the main road, road-building companies "Kapavor" and "Chanaparh" have also asphalted the highway from Tsaghkadzor and Sevan- Yerevan to Arzni.
