Rosselkhoznadzor has set a control over the import of vegetables from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus, especially for tomatoes. This is reported by Ria Novosti. Recently dramatically increased number of imports from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus have been banned in Russia. According to the source, Russian authorities have repeatedly stated that the Turkish tomatoes, which are banned in the Russian market, are entering the market via Belarus, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Russia implements Turkish tomato import ban since January 1, 2016.
