Levon Mkrtchyan in Brussels
On October 9-10, Levon Mkrtchyan, the RA Minister of Education and Science, visited Brussels at the invitation of Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of programs under the Horizon 2020 Policy Support Facility in Armenia within the framework of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the European Commission on Participation in the European Union Horizon 2020. Note that the European Union's Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 has been implemented since 2014 and will continue until 2020. Armenia's participation in the Horizon 2020 Program can contribute to the integration into the European area of research of scientific groups operating in scientific organizations and universities of the Republic of Armenia, direct participation in world-class scientific research, as well as their active role in the research and development of modern social challenges, the Ministry of Education and Science reports.
