Lawyer of one of members of Sasna Dzrer removed from hall, another received warning
The court hearing into the case of 18 members of “Sasna Dzrer” group kicked off in the Court of General Jurisdiction of Avan and Nor Nork Administrative Districts. Judge Artush Gabrielyan demanded Nina Karapetyants, lawyer of Gevorg Iritsyan, to leave the courtroom. Other lawyers involved in the case consider this decision of the Court to be illegal. The Judge claims that Gevorg Iritsyan had announced during the previous session that without his presence his lawyer shouldn’t be present at the court hearing. Nina Karapetyants was removed from the courtroom. Artush Gabrielyan didn’t allow the lawyers, who were expressing their complaints, to speak. Inessa Petrosyan, who was condemning the actions of the Judge, received judicial sanction- warning. Mushegh Shushanyan, lawyer of Sergey Kyureghyan, isn’t present at the court hearing. He is ill and is in hospital. Judge Artush Gabrielyan claimed that it has been already three sessions that Shushanyan is absent and decided to involve a public defender- Liana Gasparyan. The latter claimed that without the permission of Kyureghyan she cannot be involved in the case. Decision has been made to bring Kyureghyan into the courtroom. Now the session has been stopped.
