Fines reaching to several hundred thousand drams took taxi drivers to the streets. “Many of us haven’t paid the license price; they must have sent a notice after three months, stopping our license; they intentionally didn’t stop so that those fines are accumulated,” says taxi driver Hmayak Babayan. Taxi drivers haven’t paid license fees for already three years, complaining of unequal conditions in this way. They thought that 2-3 months after their not paying the sums, they license would be stopped. But it turned out that their fines have accumulated. Today near the NA building taxi drivers asked the NA lawmakers to interfere and find solutions together with the Government members. “We want them to annual the fines, freeze them, so that we can pay two moths’ fines and all taxi drivers be brought to legal field,” they say. Representatives from “Tsarukyan” and “Yelk” alliances approached the taxi drivers. “The problem should have a solution, but we must know the diagnosis so that we can find the treatment, understand whether it is curable or not; if I am the doctor, let me get acquainted with the analyses and say,” said the NA lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan. “Tsarukyan” alliance offered the taxi drivers to establish a working group and with the help of it find options for solution to the problem. The taxi drivers hope that the issue will soon be solved and won’t reach the Compulsory Enforcement Service of Judicial Acts. Watch details in the video!
