THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF YEREVAN MEDIA CLUB AND “INTERNEWS”
Support A1+!Yerevan media press and “Internews” made an announcement on depriving A1+ from broadcasting. It’s as follows: “We are terribly concerned about A1+ TV channel to be off from the field. This will make news in the republic miserable. We think that in order to make an accurate decision the national commission of radio and television have to take into consideration years of existence of A1+, its contribution into the freedom of speech. We find the decision of April 2 making the question political. This can be taken as a means to handle the media. We insist the problem to be viewed from the professional point of view. The national commission of radio and television omitted benefits of integrated TV channels thus in 35 UHF competition finding winner “Shoghakat” and loser “Noyan Tapan.”
We are going to support the rights of the TV channels and persist in making changes in legislation.
