THE DISCUSSION OF THE LAW DRAFT DEFENDING A1+ IN NATIONAL ASSEMBLY DIDN’T TAKE PLACE

Social

Today a group of deputies with Shavarsh Kocharyan suggested to have special assembly. Due to their proposed project the decision of the national commission of radio and television in case appealed in the court is being hindered before the decision of the court starts acting legally. Perhaps the deputies were suggesting letting A1+ broadcast before the court decision.

The question was to be discussed by electronic system. The head of the parliamentary majority Galust Sahakyan demanded 20-minute break and the time of the assembly ran off.

Due to Shavarsh Kocharyan the best way to disturb the question as it referred to A1+ was to demand a break.

The Vice President Andranik Margaryan called for not trying to mix the question of A1+ with politics. Due to him in Armenia the freedom of speech is not determined only by A1+, there are many TV channels that are free.
”I highly appreciate the step of A1+ to apply the court. Problems are solved in that way not through meetings,” he says.

The Minister of Justice Davit Harutunyan promised to evaluate the situation connected with A1+ not now because now the case is in court.

The Minister of Defense Serj Sargsyan declared that Robert Kocharyans answers about A1+ yesterday were not limited. “I don’t think that A1+ is deprived of broadcasting. A1+ may have an opportunity to work.”

It’s worth to mention that in National Assembly during discussions no word was uttered about A1+.
