No grounds for Levon Hayrapetyan's arrest, say lawyers (video)
There are no reasonable grounds for the arrest of Armenian businessman and philanthropist Levon Hayrapetyan, says lawyer Nikolay Baghdasaryan. Today he publicized the information provided by Hayrapetyan’s lawyer. It turns out that the Russian authorities initiated a case against the businessman on the basis of the testimony given by a life termer and are trying to prove Harpatetyan’s alleged connection with a crime committed in 2000-2003, which the lawyer says is impossible. In the meantime, Vahan Shirkhanyan, a former defense minister of Armenia, continues to insist that Hayrapetyan’s was schemed. Hayrapetyan was arrested in Moscow on July 15 and is charged with money laundering.
