Serzh Sargsyan congratulates EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on election
Serzh Sargsyan has sent a congratulatory letter to Jean-Claude Juncker, who was approved to head the European Union's supreme executive body, European Commission, for the next five years. Serzh Sargsyan wished Mr Juncker all the best and fruitful activity. He also expressed hope that during his term in office, Jean-Claude Juncker will contribute to the deepening of effective cooperation between Armenia and European Commission, opening up new promising avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation. "Cooperation with the European Union has contributed to the effective governance and implementation of reforms in areas related to democracy, human rights, rule of law and we greatly appreciate this cooperation,” Mr Sargsyan said once again reiterating Armenia’s commitment to develop relations with the European Union.
