Vanadzor Chimprom employees demand their unpaid salaries (video)

Employees of Vanadzor Chimprom CJSC have gathered outside the plant demanding their due salaries. The company owes them salaries for 9 months, starting from 2011. The company’s leadership refrains from meeting the protesters.

One of the employees said the factory has become a holy place for them when they gather every day with the hope of receiving unpaid salaries.

Ashot Manukyan,  Head of the Personnel of the Lori Governor’s Office, came out to speak to the angered workers. He told that newly appointed Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan was unaware of the problem and needs time to understand the essence of the issue and answer them.
