According to the Central Bank decision, beginning from March 31, 2003, copecks of 2003’ specimen of 50, 100, 200, 500 dram’ nominal value will be put into turnover .

1993’ bonds in 10, 25, 200 drams and 1998’ ones in 50 and 100 drams are considered as legal payment means till April 1, 2004. After they can be changed only in the banks in Armenian territory and their branches by April 1, 2005 .

Gevorg Tumanyan, Central Bank representative has informed about it at today’s conference. He said though prime cost of copecks is higher unlike the paper money, the metal one is used up much later, thus allowing to save a few millions of dollars by years.
