ARMENIA HOSTS NATO SECRETARY GENERAL
Support A1+!“French University in Armenia decided to award you title of Distinguished Doctor for pursuing active policy across the world”, the head of the university administrative board Arthur Baghdasaryan said today and presented proper costume to Lord George Robertson. French Ambassador to Armenia Henry Cuny said it was a great honour and pleasure to host NATO Secretary General.
Lord George Robertson said he attached a great importance to Armenia’s participation in NATO within frames of Euro Atlantic cooperation. In his opinion Caucasus is a region of a great significance for ensuring stability in Eurasia. He spoke also about organisation of NATO military exercises in Armenia.
The high-level official noted that security in the region should be maintained by NATO member countries. He said NATO doesn’t care about Armenia-Russia military cooperation at all.
The university administration, in turn, assured the guest that Armenia is able to become competitive country in the region as well as EU full-fledged member.
