HAYRIKYAN IS AGAIN ON THE POLITICAL ARENA

Politics

Before the parliamentary elections the members of Union for Self-Determination have concluded from some surveys that majority of the public goes towards the elections superstitiously.

“A month ago 62 of the public moves forward to the parliamentary ones with superstition. That index is equivalent to social disaster. The political powers having seconded the president now try to focus dissatisfaction on him. It turns out that together with their own people in the committees, they bore no relation to the election processes” , USD Chairman Hayrikyan comments on that.

Hayrikyan thinks it is difficult to conduct civilised elections, and the European partners of Armenian political figures realise it well, too.

Unlike other parties USD members have discussed the Constitutional amendments with their foreign colleagues. “Constitution is much more important than any other election. Constitutional reforms are made for generations, whereas Authorities are elected for a few years. Such frivolous attitude to Constitutional reforms indicates of pro-state orientation of not only Authorities but also political parties” .

Under Hayrikyan’s words, reforms weakening the positions of Authorities are not playing into their hands. Being against all these Authorities don’t take the needed steps. Hayrikyan thinks if that reforms are executed, the key factor for influence on the Parliament will disappear.

Mr Hayrikyan didn’t conceal that the Electoral Code, the well-known pro-Authority procedure for list making, will be essential obstacles for the elections. The same committees with unbalanced staff remain. Thousands of lawbreakers are not yet punished and they will continue playing their “role”.
