NEW CONSTITUTION ENDANGERS INDEPENDENCE OF ARMENIA
Support A1+!“So-called “Constitutional reforms”, put to referendum, were created under top secret conditions and by an unknown group and not a state body”, the statement of Armenian National Movement, says.
The press conference, held by Aram Harutyunyan, the representative of the Committee on Constitutional Reforms, gave rise to the statement. According to ANM Vice-Chair Aram Manukyan, at the conference in Press Club Aram Harutyunyan introduced false facts when presenting the new Constitution draft.
Before talking about the statement content, Manukyan compared the preparation phases for Constitution referendum in 1995 and 2003. He says in 1995 the Constitution draft was submitted to lasting expertise, besides, the Opposition had a chance to study, discuss, criticise and express its point of view over the draft.
Unlike the previous one, this paper was not put to nation-wide discussion, and as ANM says the hidden method of elaboration of the documents, their orientation and results indicate of that it obviously was the political order of Dashnaktsutyun.
