POLICEMEN EQUIPPED IN MODERN WAY

“Crime in Armenia is not of perilous scale but now Government does its best to prevent spreading thereof” , Armenian PM Andranik Margaryan has today stated at the meeting with Interpol Secretary General Ronald Kenneth Noble.

Welcoming the first visit of the head for such an influential international organisation, PM said it’s the evidence for collaboration of police of Armenia with all the law-enforcement bodies and evaluation of efficiency of their work.

Margaryan also has stressed Armenian police co-operates with Internal Affairs’ bodies of CIS, BSEC countries and other international organisations for struggle against terrorism, drug business, and solution to the problems rising as a result of illegal migration of population.

Mr Kenneth Noble has informed that Norway’ Government will allow a grant of 100.000 US $ that will totally be channelled into technical re-equipment of the police of Armenia. According to Noble, if introduction the new system, Armenia will become the 50th country among the 151 Interpol-member ones, supplied with modern high-quality equipment. It will stimulate improvement of police structures and provision of home security of the country.
