AT EXPECTED “ATTACK” TO ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT

Gagik Aslanyan, Vice-Speaker of Armenian Parliament aims to win majority of seats in Parliament by his Party.

Serious participation of People’s and Democratic Party in the 2003’ parliamentary elections and not in the presidential ones was mainly discussed at the first congress of the Party.

Gagik Aslanyan became sure of his Party power after the elections for local government institutions. Then 39 village heads and 47 heads’ members were elected from People’s and Democratic Party .

Before the parliamentary elections PDP will make more accurate its strategy and the further activity.

But the main policy of PDP is already known. It is against revolutionary changes and shocks in the republic. That’s why the Party will back up candidature of Robert Kocharyan in the coming presidential elections .

Nevertheless, everything is not all right in Armenia. Introducing all the Party’ standpoints, Aslanyan stated it is necessary to gradually change Constitution .

PDP welcomes the present way of Karabaghi conflict settlement and foreign policy.

As to the home policy, PDP is for that serious parties unite around the “common platform”.
