ELECTIONS IN KARABAGH WERE FREE AND TRANSPARENT

Politics

”We didn’t try to be more orthodox than Pope but we say elections in Nagorno Karabagh were free and transparent ,- the American observers say. Today they represented their observations on presidential elections in Karabagh.

They visited 29 polling stations. As they announce, no infringement was fixed at the election . They say it was due to the efforts of Karabaghi Authorities. “Karabaghi Authorities did their best to carry out the elections in a democratic way” .

Nevertheless, some shortcomings were noticed by the observers. James Hooker, the Head of American Observers’ Group says Central Election Committee of Karabagh is to become independent of the Government “. Besides, all the candidates are to be provided with equal opportunities. All they must have persons empowered to act for them while only 30 ones in 266 polling stations have been watching the election process.

”Free and transparent elections can’t change Karabagh’s status. Democratization can fasten the process of Karabaghi conflict settlement ” ,- American observers say.
