Students to pay tribute to Vazgen Sargsyan
Armenian military commander, politician and writer Vazgen Sargsyan was born on March 5, 1959.
The Youth Foundation of Armenia in collaboration with the Student Council and Trade Union of Armenian State Pedagogical University has organized a number of events dated to the birthday of Armenian Sparapet (Commander) Vazgen Sargsyan.
Within the framework of the events, about 50 students of the University will visit Vazgen Sargsyan's house-museum in Ararat and the military unit after Vazgen Sargsyan. They will perform a concert at the military unit and donate books to its library. Distinguished soldiers will be awarded with certificates and souvenirs.
Vazgen Sargsyan was Armenia's Prime Minister from June 11, 1999 to October 27, 1999, until his assassination in the Armenian parliament shooting.
