Is there flu epidemic in Armenia?

The World Health Organization reports that the dynamics of acute respiratory infections is changing in Europe. While some areas of Europe are still seeing increases, others appear to be experiencing a decline in the number of new cases. The situation is stabilizing in the south, with the flu virus rapidly spreading across Northern European region.

According to the WHO, the epidemic situation is not so tense in Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. Seasonal variation and increase of acute respiratory infections is observed in some parts of the Russian Federation.

The situation of acute respiratory infections is comparatively quiet in Armenia. The results of monitoring updated on a weekly basis show adecline in the morbidity from acute respiratory infections as compared with the same period in 2012.
The influenza A and B viruses are spread in Armenia, the Healthcare Ministry reports.
