Another ethnic Armenian has been murdered in Istanbul.
According to reports by Turkish media, Ilker Sahin, a 40-year-old teacher at a local Armenian school, was murdered in Istanbul's Kadikoy district. Sahin's colleagues decided to visit him as they had not heard from him for several days. After finding the door closed they turned to the local police. After entering Sahin's apartment the police officers witnessed a terrible picture: they found with Sahin a slashed throat. Armenia-based zham.am reports that Sahin fought for some time with his murderer(s). However, the police ruled out the possibility of murder during a robbery attempt.
Sahin had worked in Aramian school in Istanbul for nine years.

An elderly Armenian woman was murdered in Istanbul in late December. She was found with her throat cut.
