During his working visit to New York, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan met with Foreign Ministers of Mexico, Cuba, and Guatemala on September 28.
The meeting of E. Nalbandyan and Mexican Foreign Minister Ms. Patricia Espinosa was dedicated to the development of bilateral links. The two ministers discussed in detail the joint steps aimed at developing the cooperation such as strengthening the legal and contractual basis, fostering the political dialog, and developing the inter-parliamentary links. The Armenian foreign minister informed his Mexican counterpart about Armenia’s plans to establish an embassy in Mexico next year. E. Nalbandyan also spoke about the efforts of Armenia and the international community to resolve the Nagorno Karabakh problem.
At the meeting with Guatemalan Foreign Minister Harold Caballeros, the interlocutors discussed the bilateral willingness to develop relations, touching upon the establishment of cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries, and the opportunities of cooperation in culture and education spheres. Harol Caballeros invited Edward Nalbandyan to visit Guatemala in order to continue the dialog.
Steps to boost bilateral relations were discussed at the meeting with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez. The sides also exchanged views on regional problems.
