In Austria chess club “Mika” of Yerevan became the winner of the European women's club championship. The Armenian team won 12 points in 7 rounds. In the last round «Mika» tied with «Ural» 2:2 and became champion. Elina Danielyan, Maya Chiburdanidze, Maya Kurtsidze and Nelly Aghinyan were the members of the Armenian team.

In men's championship «Kursk-400» became champion, whereas «Bank King» from Yerevan took the 11th place with 10 points. «Ural» where Vladimir Hakobyan played took the third place.
