Romanian Michai Stoichita, the trainer of Football National combined team of Armenia and Yerevan “Pyunik” chief trainer departed for his homeland and most probably won’t return to Armenia. Under the reliable sources we possess, he had family problems and refused to work in “Pyunik” since he wanted to spend more time with the family. Stoichita’s further work in the combined team of Armenia is questionable, too.
Such a turning-point was unexpected as the 1st event of qualification of Champions’ League is starting in 25 days and “Pyunik” must take part in it, too. Stoichita’s leaving just before such a responsible tournament may have grave consequences for “Pyunik”. Besides, the matches of the Armenian combined team within the selection round of World Championship are coming soon.
Football Federation of Armenia concluded a 4-year-long contract with Stoichita in 2003 March.
