The head of Armenia’s Football Federation Ruben Hayrapetyan told journalists Monday Armenian club Ararat wouldn’t participate in the 2004 Armenian Championship because of some discord with the Federation. Eight teams are included in the least of participants.

Hayrapetyan said he discussed a number of financial issues with FIFA and UEFA presidents when he visited Moscow. He said UEFA intends to provide additional financial support to the Armenian Football Federation.

Armenia’s team is expected to take part in an international competition to be held in February in Cyprus.
