Gegharqounik regional department of RA Ministry of Agriculture State Veterinary Inspection against bird flu informs that during last 10 days all the dead birds of the region have been examined. At the same time bird vaccinations are realized against “Newcastle” in all the communities.
The diagnosis showed that the bird plague is mainly connected with intoxication, fire or other injuries, worm illness. The situation is being controlled among both poultry and wild birds. «In Gegharqounik diagnosis centres dead birds from Lanjaghbyur, Gavar, Noratus, Hayravanq and other administrative regions were examined, and no bird flu signs were found», specialists of Gegharqounik regional department assure.
Despite this people go on slaughtering their poultry. Sell of bird meat and eggs has also decreased.
