HAMLET TAMAZYAN WON IN LORI
Support A1+!In Lori Province Hamlet Tamazyan won by the majority election procedure with difference of 3000 votes. He is a non-party man, an honorary citizen of Alaverdi City, the Director of the Surgical Institution in Yerevan after Mikhayelyan.
The next candidate, Hovhanness Kochinyan, is a member of Republican Party of Armenia. All the pro-government parties, his brother, who is the Lori Province Head, Alaverdi Mayor and almost all the other commune heads seconded him.
The main electorate was for Hamlet Tamazyan. But there was apprehension that Authorities would again use the dirty deeds. During the counting of the voting papers when the results were somehow clear, tension rose in some election centres. Even work of a few commissions was temporarily ceased. In N 1179 election centre of N 40 election district committee chair left the voting room, being hurt by committee members.
He demanded them to declare invalid 66 voting papers. Majority of members considered the request baseless.
At last, under the voting results of the committee 19 were recognised valid. Many of the invalid papers were put into the ballot box without being sealed.
