It was announced in Aragats village of Aragatsotn Province that snowstorm is expected in a day or two, all the roads to the village will be covered with snow and the planned meetings with candidates for Armenian presidency won’t take place.

Stepan Demirchyan’s visit was surprise for Aragats people. Villagers are going to vote for him but fear election results may be falsified . According to Ashot Davtyan, ex-member of polling district committee of Aragats, only 240 out of 1950 people in the village voted for Robert Kocharyan at the presidential elections in 1998 . But after results had been made public in Ashtarak, it turned out 90 vote for Stepan Demirchyan . Geghadir villagers say it’s for ages since officials last visited them. The village has no telephone communication, it is deprived of chance to watch TV programs . People in the aforementioned communes say they are pressed by local Authorities , but they won’t give up.

People in Aparan avoided to express themselves . Law-enforcement bodies watched the meeting process. Under specified information, they were given an order to fix the names of those making speeches in favour of Stepan Demirchyan .
