DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE WIND IN SHIRAK PROVINCE

The strong wind in Shirak province caused damages to several villages. Mainly the roofs of houses were damaged. Electricity supply was cut off.

As the vice-chief of the Emergency and Citizens' Protection administration Norayr Ghazaryan said it was impossible to forecast the wind because the hydrometeorological service stations were shut down.

The research showed that damages by the wind are of 13 mln. drams.

No compensation is set aside for the sufferers. Even if there is any they will have to repair their houses by their own means.
