KARABAKHI PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED IN 100 YEARS

Politics

Dmitri Rogozin, the newly elected Vice-speaker of Russian State Duma, who has been the head of the Russian delegation in PACE for years, will no longer continue his activity there.

He thinks that henceforth atmosphere in PACE will be more calm than it was in 2000 when the Russian delegation left the session hall and, in fact, was in atte of conflict with CE.

However, Rogozin has today referred to the Southern Caucasus, stating that Russia patiently watches the situation, trying to assess and settle it.

As to Karabakhi conflict, Rogozin said: ”Karabakhi conflict is beyond solution. Neither Robert Kocharyan nor Ilham Aliev can solve it in the coming time. Ilham is my friend. I like him and set great hopes on him. I also respect Kocharyan. I have known him since the times he wasn’t even the president of Nagorno Karabakh. But if there is no Karabakhi conflict solution now, it must be delayed by 100 years. By that time some kind of relations must be restored. It is possible to solve the problem of Azerbaijani refugees in this phase, to return them to settlements in the buffer zones and not in Karabakh

One more notification. I don’t understand why Armenia appears as a part of this conflict. We all remember what happened – it was the conflict between Karabakhi and Azerbaijani people. Of course, there were volunteers from Armenia but Armenia didn’t appear as a direct participant and the enemy of Azerbaijan”.
