LACK OF MONEY AS WELL LEADS TO TERRORISM

Social

Participants of today’s trial over October 27 tried to find out how Parliament building was guarded on the terror day. The Prosecution has been unable to find it out for several sessions.

Artur Hakobyan, October 27 case witness testified upon the trial. He was the platoon commander of the security department for the most important objectives of Internal Affairs Ministry the terror day.

It turns out Senior Lieutenant Artur Hakobyan didn’t see anything, like other policemen who were on duty in Parliament. According to his testimony, till October 27, 1999 Parliament building has been guarded “under established order and not edict established” .
E.g., under edict, only one person could enter Parliament building by one pass, but according to the witness, “it was usual that a few people entered the building by one pass“ . By the `order`, Hunanyan brothers and Vram Galstyan entered Parliament by one pass.

By the way, one could conclude from the witness’s testimony “there wasn’t good communication because of lack of finance – equipment was old ” .

Let’s remind policeman on duty Armen Gasparyan had testified before the Court the telephone hadn’t worked and he couldn’t get in touch with the platoon leader. Today platoon commander Artur Hakobyan announced in the Court he had been checking the guarding posts during the day and the telephone had been working that time.
