Social

Any Armenian journalist, cooperating with foreign journalists, especially with Turkish or Azeri ones, can be charged with “high treason” . In any case, trial over orientalist Murad Bojolyan, accused of high treason, creates the impression like that.

Today the First Instance Court of Kentron Nork Marash Communes began studying the evidences.

In the beginning of the trial Bojolyan’s defence directed attention of those present to the fact the evidences to the case have been achieved illegally and can’t be considered as evidence.

It became clear from the records Bojolyan has periodically rendered information to Turkish correspondents in Moscow Renzi Oghli Oskan and Nerdun Baji Oghli .

On October 27 and 28 Bojolyan was active but the information given by him, was merely official.

Bojolyan has co-operated with Turkish Mass Media under contract and was the correspondent of Yerevan.

The Prosecution tried to prove in the Court today Bojolyan had concluded a contract with Turkish special service – MIT and not with Mass Media.

Court made public a reference from Russian Federal Service under which Turkish journalists Renzi Oghli Oskan and Nerdun Baji Oghli are employees of both Turkish Embassy to Moscow and special services .

According to the Prosecution, it’s a serious circumstance to accuse Bojolyan of treachery.
